The Cove BMX Club Incorporated
powered by TidyHQ
Established in 1982, The Cove BMX Club strives to provide a safe and friendly environment for local families and riders of all ages who enjoy riding bikes.
With over 200 members ranging in age from 3 to 70 years of age, The Cove caters for all BMX riders in a family friendly, community environment.
The Cove BMX Club has a long history of success producing riders of exceptional calibre, consistently making Elite level rider selection for World championship competition. Annually we have a strong contingency of riders who travel nationally to race in the national AusCycling series and the National Championships. We had a large contingent of twenty-seven Cannons riders (and their families) travelling to Sydney – with eight male riders and four female riders proudly earning “A” (Australia) plates.
Just as important to us is our booming grass roots contingent. The kids are the future Champions/Coaches and Volunteers of our Sport and we continue to build a strong culture and training programs to allow them to progress at their own pace and provide opportunity at whatever level they wish to compete.
The sport of BMX continues to evolve, so has our club, generally, riding out of the shared SWBMX international facility since mid-2023 providing a top-class BMX race facility. Note that currently, The Cove is racing out of the Happy Valley BMX track - with a return to SWIBMX following construction in the first half of 2026. We are looking forward to returning to the Sam Willoughby BMX facility - a $7.5 million dollar development made possible due to City of Marion, City of Onkaparinga and South Australian Government and shared with the Happy Valley BMX Club.
The facility when fully activated will be utilised on many different levels, from local, state and nationals race events, to community riding and facilities use opportunities. With riders excelling at various levels on the local, national and international stage, this truly is an exciting time to become a part of The Cove BMX community. We are a not-for-profit organisation, and extremely proud of the hard-working volunteers, membership base and are always seeking valuable sponsorship partners to join our family.
